Founder and CEO
Daniel Abrego
Dan Abrego’s story is one of humble beginnings, a “get it done” mentality, and passion. As founder and CEO of ACSI, he actively supports his teams of technicians and sales representatives with over 20 years of experience in the industry. He also leads by example with the same boundless energy and dedication from his teenage days in starting out in the industry.
Raised in a Chicagoland family that struggled to make ends meet, necessity drove Dan to work from an early age. In high school and later in college, Dan postponed formal education in order to support his family. At 19, a friend introduced Dan to the career that would become his calling. Through enthusiasm and an eagerness to learn from his mistakes, Dan honed both his technical and teamwork skills in telecom and construction positions. He came to understand that an organization is only as good as the team it sends to complete projects. Disillusioned and feeling undervalued by management at previous positions, Dan understood the need for a telecom installation company that would value and invest in its team. He assembled a small group of technicians from teams he had worked on who shared his value for professionalism, and ACSI was born.
Working alongside that team with a passion for excellence, ACSI quickly grew from an (X) person company to the 55+ person team you’ll find today. Despite plenty of management duties, Dan still leads by example; you can still find him in literal trenches or climbing telephone poles. He continues to pursue training and education opportunities also offered for staff, recently obtaining his fiber optic splicing certification. Dan is grateful to his friend for introducing him to this vibrant field, and the opportunities he was offered and works to keep that path open for today’s young people.
ACSI is a state certified MBE and DBE (Minority-Owned Business Enterprise and Disadvantaged Business Enterprise). The ACSI team includes contractors that have been working with Dan (from the beginning?) for years as well as his brother who serves as Chief Operating Officer.
ACSI Tech Team
The ACSI Tech Team brings over 100 years of combined technical experience to our business. We believe in investing in our techs, making sure they have the equipment and training they need to achieve the level of quality expected of them. The team works together to ensure every job is done right from beginning to end, and that begins with arriving on time to every job. Our techs use their considerable skills and experience to complete their jobs the right way.

ACSI Sales Team
ACSI partners with Astound Broadband to provide Chicago’s fastest, most reliable and affordable internet service, telephone and cable TV service. Our Chicago-based sales team works directly with leadership at ACSI receiving best in class preparation, training, and development in the industry.
